Diagnostic Necropsy/Pathology
Diagnostic pathology evaluations are performed on cases for which there are clinical/diagnostic concerns. For ill animals or those with clinical concerns, please place a clinical call.
Experimental Pathology for Large Animals (larger than rodents)
Experimental necropsy, tissue collections, and pathology evaluations should be arranged with ACVP board certified faculty pathologists in advance, ideally in planning (study design) stages of a project, for scheduled endpoints, as well as for adverse events that may require collections or pathology evaluations.
Note: Any procedures involving animals/animal specimens must be approved by the ACUC, and by Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) when relevant. Additionally, we cannot provide ACVP pathology support in BSL3 at this time.
Current fees and information on RAR/MCP experimental pathology can be found at: RAR experimental pathology Info/Request
Requests must be submitted BEFORE procedures can be initiated.
Pathology support, consulting, and collaboration with board certified veterinary pathologists (ACVP Diplomates) in the Department of Molecular and Comparative Pathobiology (MCP) can be arranged. Contact Dr. Cory Brayton [email protected] for more information.
Experimental Pathology for Rodents (and smaller animals)
Experimental necropsy, tissue collections, and pathology evaluations should be arranged with ACVP board certified faculty pathologists in advance, ideally in planning (study design) stages of a project, for scheduled endpoints, as well as for adverse events that may require collections or pathology evaluations.
Note: Any procedures involving animals/animal specimens must be approved by the ACUC, and by Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) when relevant. Additionally, we cannot provide ACVP pathology support in BSL3 at this time.
Visit the Phenotyping Core and iLab websites for more information. Contact Dr. Cory Brayton [email protected] to discuss your project.
